COP26 approves revised deal after late drama

After last-minute drama over whether to include the words phase ‘down’ or ‘out’ regarding coal use, the U.N. climate summit in Scotland ended with a global agreement that aimed to keep alive hopes of capping global warming at 1.5 degrees Celsius, and so maintain a realistic shot at saving the world from catastrophic climate change.
